These Terms govern your use of tictacTalk. By using the service, you agree to them and to the Community Guidelines. If you do not agree, do not use tictacTalk.
You must be at least 18 years old to use tictacTalk. By creating or using an account, you confirm that you are 18 or older. We may restrict or remove an account when we reasonably believe the user is under 18.
tictacTalk is a pseudonymous social video-chat service for adults. It offers public random matchmaking, private rooms, live video and audio, chat, reactions, and built-in games. Every new match begins with Ludo, and participants can also play Tic-Tac-Toe or Connect 4.
You may sign in with Google or Facebook when those providers are enabled. Each provider opens a separate tictacTalk account, even when both providers belong to the same person. Profiles, public IDs, preferences, moderation records, and Gem Membership are not automatically merged or transferred between providers. External provider details are not shown to other users. Your live media uses WebRTC and travels directly between participants when possible, with TURN relay available as a connection fallback.
You are responsible for activity performed through your account and for keeping the Google or Facebook account used for that tictacTalk account, active sessions, and device secure. Do not share session tokens or provider credentials. Use accurate, lawful profile information. Do not upload a profile photo, choose a nickname, or present a camera feed that impersonates another person or violates these Terms.
You may not use tictacTalk to:
You can report and block users through the app. Sending a report also blocks that account so the two accounts are not matched together again. Reports may lead to temporary restrictions, permanent removal, or manual review. Repeated reports from distinct accounts may also trigger automatic restrictions.
tictacTalk has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation. Credible child-safety reports may result in immediate restriction, legally required preservation, and reporting to the appropriate authority or child-safety organization. Child-safety concerns may be sent to support@tictactalk.chat.
Public matchmaking depends on compatible people being online. tictacTalk does not guarantee a match, a particular country or language, the accuracy of another user’s self-described profile, or a minimum conversation length.
The free country preference supports one selected country and may fall back to other countries when no suitable person is available. It is separate from Gem Membership filters.
When available, Gem Membership provides the features described in the app, which may include the Gem badge, removal of eligible tictacTalk display ads, Gender Filter, excluded-country rules, favorite-country preferences, and conversation-language preferences for public random matchmaking. Gem filters do not apply to private rooms.
Gender Filter and excluded countries are strict. A selected gender must match, and an excluded country is never used as a fallback. Favorite countries and selected languages are priorities, not guarantees. The matchmaking system first looks for stronger preference matches, then may fall back to other allowed countries or languages when no better compatible person is available. The free single-country preference remains a separate matchmaking preference.
When Gender Filter is selected, up to 500 gender-filtered public encounters are available per UTC day. An encounter is reserved when a match is committed and consumed only after at least 30 seconds of active match time. Leaving before that threshold releases the reservation. Favorite-country, excluded-country, and language preferences do not use that daily quota.
On the Web and PWA, Gem Membership may be offered through Stripe Checkout as a recurring 7-day plan or a recurring monthly plan. The exact price, currency, taxes, billing interval, and promotional terms shown in Checkout control the purchase. Unless Checkout clearly says otherwise, the selected plan renews automatically at the selected recurring price until canceled.
Preview access used during development is not a paid subscription and does not automatically renew. Native-store billing is not available until the relevant store implementation is activated.
Gem access is activated only after the payment provider and tictacTalk validate the subscription. A return URL or client-side message alone cannot activate membership. Failed, incomplete, reversed, refunded, disputed, expired, paused, unpaid, or canceled payments may suspend or end access.
You may schedule cancellation of an eligible Web subscription through Gem settings or the Stripe billing portal. Unless the provider states otherwise, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period and Gem access continues until that date. Where supported, you may resume automatic renewal before the period ends.
Charges are generally non-refundable except where required by law, allowed by the payment provider, or approved through an administrative review. A refund or dispute may lead to immediate cancellation or suspension. tictacTalk may keep limited billing and review records needed to process or defend refunds, disputes, fraud claims, and legal obligations.
Direct changes between the 7-day and monthly plans are not currently offered while a subscription is active. You may cancel the current plan, keep access through its paid period, and choose another plan after it expires.
Advertising support may be enabled to fund the service. When ads are active, advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies as explained in the Privacy Policy. Active Gem Members are not eligible for tictacTalk display ads while their entitlement remains valid.
You may schedule deletion from Settings while signed in, or use the external account-deletion page. If an eligible Web Gem subscription is active, tictacTalk first schedules it not to renew at the end of the current paid period. A 30-day deletion grace period then applies.
Signing in again before the deletion deadline cancels account deletion, but it does not automatically resume a subscription that was scheduled not to renew. Additional retention details are explained in the Privacy Policy.
We may update, limit, suspend, or discontinue features when needed for safety, maintenance, legal compliance, provider changes, or product development. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or permanently available access.
tictacTalk is provided “as is” and “as available,” to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee the conduct, identity, statements, or accuracy of another user. You are responsible for deciding what you share and when to leave an interaction.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, tictacTalk and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service, interactions with users, service interruption, or loss of data.
We may update these Terms when the service or legal requirements change. The date at the top identifies the latest published version. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
Questions about these Terms can be sent to support@tictactalk.chat.
